Le Championnat du monde FIA WEC reprend du service avec la seconde manche de la saison en Belgique, sur le circuit ardennais de Spa-Francorchamps pour les débuts de la campagne 2022 en terre européenne. Après une première manche remportée par l’Alpine A-480 à Sebring, Toyota se voudra revanchard sur cette deuxième épreuve et Glickenhaus a surement des envies de remonter sur le podium.
United Autosport mène logiquement la catégorie LM P2 après cette première manche devant les deux Oreca 07 WRT. Porsche arrive en position de leader en GTE-Pro, la Corvette C8 s’était intercalé entre les deux 911 RSR. Ferrari aura le couteau entre les dents pour la deuxième course de la saison. En GTE-Am, l’ouverture de la saison s’était résumée à un duel Aston Martin-Porsche. Le Northwest AMR est tête du championnat, devant celle du TF Sport e pour complété le trio la n°56 du Team Project 1. Début des hostilités en piste, jeudi à 15 heures 30 avec la première séance d’essais libres.
